Dr Remya Prasannan
Dr Remya Prasannan earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Calicut University, India, in 2004. She then completed her postgraduate training in Dermatology, Venereology, and Leprology (MD DVL) at Government Medical College, Calicut, in 2010. Following this, Dr Prasannan gained valuable experience as a Senior Registrar at Government Medical College, Thrissur, in 2011. Dr Prasannan is registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK and holds a full license to practice.
In 2013, she achieved the Specialty Certificate Examination in Dermatology (SCE Dermatology, UK), further enhancing her credentials in the field. Dr Prasannan worked as a Specialty Doctor in Dermatology with the Sussex Community Dermatology Service from 2016 to 2018. She then returned to India, where she served as a Consultant Dermatologist until 2021.
Since 2021, Dr Prasannan has been part of the East Kent Hospitals Dermatology Team as a Specialty Doctor and has been working within East Kent Community Dermatology since 2023, working at our clinic in Folkestone.
